Thank you for your interest in SOMA, the Strategy & Operations Management Association at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. With nearly 300 members, we are one of the largest professional clubs at Anderson.
We’ve got some great activities planned for the 2010-2011 academic year. Building upon our success and momentum from last year, we look forward to a rebound in the economy (hopeful) and many educational and recruiting events to prepare our members for careers in corporate strategy, strategic planning, business development, operations, and supply chain management.
We will continue to strengthen our relationships with companies such as Amgen, Google, Disney, Chevron, Mattel, DaVita, Bank of America, Toyota, and many others across various industries. We are committed to bringing to campus the companies that our members most want to work for, and we invite all companies seeking UCLA Anderson students to contact us to become involved with SOMA events during the year.
We will also be working with our highly dedicated faculty, alumni, industry experts, FEMBA, and EMBA students to engage with our members in career development settings such as the SOMA Education 101 series, Industry Speaker Series, and Dinner for Eight (D48) events throughout the year.
If you are interested in becoming a SOMA member, please join through our website or contact any of our board members. Additionally, SOMA will have a booth at the Orientation Club Fair where you can become a club member and meet members of the SOMA Executive Board.
Our kick-off event is scheduled for Monday, October 4, 2010 at 6pm. We hope to see you there!
Best regards,
Brian C. Chen
