We’ve got a great year planned ahead of us in the 2009-2010 academic year.
Building upon the success and momentum from last year, we look forward to a rebound in the economy (fingers crossed) and many career and educational events to prepare our members for careers in supply chain management, strategy, business development, operations and general management.
We will continue to strengthen our core relationships with companies such as Disney, Mattel, DaVita, UTi Worldwide, Google and many others across all industries. We are committed to bringing the companies to campus that our members most want to work for and we invite all companies seeking UCLA Anderson students to contact us for information about how they can be involved with SOMA events in the coming year.
We will also be working with our highly dedicated faculty, alumni, industry experts, FEMBA and EMBA students to engage with our members in educational settings such as SOMA Education 101 series, Industry Speaker Series and “Dinner for Eight” (D48) events throughout the year.
If you are interested in becoming a member of SOMA, please join through our website or contact one of our board members. Additionally, SOMA will have a booth at the Club Fair during Orientation where you can become a club member and meet members of the SOMA Executive Board.
Our kick-off event is tentatively scheduled for October 5, 2009. We hope to see you there!
